The Art of Feeling

//The Art of Feeling

To heal we have to feel. There is no way around it.

In fact the ability (privilege) to feel is one of the soul’s main purposes for incarnating in the physical body.

And yet we are not taught how to feel.

More often we are modelled how to numb, dissociate and disconnect.

It was a looooong bumpy road on my self-awakening path before I learned how to feel my feelings, process them and be able to translate their guidance and messages.

Before that I numbed. I numbed with food, specifically sugar. It just made things worse. Way worse as the shame overtook me.

To feel is an act of rebellion. It is an act of taking our power back.

We are rendered powerless when we numb or ignore our feelings. Our feelings have valuable information and guidance for us.

I have come to fall deeply in love with sound healing as it is one of the most profound and effective tools I’ve used in my practice to support clients to feel & heal.

The sound frequencies draw us down and into our body.

It’s down and in the body that we access our deeper felt sense that is guiding us.

It’s down and in the body where we can feel and heal the places of trauma and pain.

And yet, we so often travel up, to the mental gates, “trying to figure it out,” bypassing the body and feelings.

With sound healing, the vibrations enter the body drawing our attention here.

It’s as if the sound healing instruments are teaching my clients how to feel - in the most loving and creative way.

As you lay down, heart open, ready to receive the benevolent blessings of the sound healing frequencies, you are also opening your heart to receive (and feel) more of yourself.

You are opening to receive the parts that you’ve disassociated from, cut off from out of shame or pain.

Sound healing has a brilliant way of coming through the back door, dissolving our toughest armour, guiding us back home into our hearts.

If you have challenges with feeling your emotions or being fully present in your body, I invite you to try a sound healing journey, as it is a gentle, supportive and effective way to practice the art of feeling.
